Erin O’Toole is going to be Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister.
I talked with him about what people should expect, what he hopes to do and he said he wants to have a “constructive” relationship with Russia.
We also talked about Bill 21 and Ontario’s decision to remain neutral on the UN’s Palmpo. He said it’s important that Canada follows Canada’s interest and interests of Canadians. But he doesn’t think it’s a Quebec or Ontario issue, saying it’s a Quebec and Ontario question.
I also talked about the controversial Canadian Christian cartoonist Lars Troen, in particular the hundreds of death threats he’s faced, said he doesn’t want to leave the country, told him, “What you’re doing is demonizing a lot of people”.
He said he’s very proud of the Conservatives’ stance on immigration, saying it’s under control, is not causing any problems and isn’t poisoning the debate.
And in case you missed it last night at 8:50 p.m. ET on 21 Secrets, you may have seen why Donald Trump said he’s backing out of the G-7 summit.
